On Meet the Press this morning, House Republican Leader John Boehner (R-OH) discussed Republican proposals for economic recovery, his willingness to work with President Obama, and more. Boehner told host David Gregory that, "In this whole debate, whether it's the Troubled Asset Relief Program or this economic recovery package, somebody has to be looking out for the taxpayers. And I'm going to tell you what, Republicans are going to be there to look out for American taxpayers."

the US is already armed to the teeth. before the first World War we had very little of a standing Army, and no Air force or navy as I remember my history.... what are we doing defedning Korea and Germany? let the defend themselves! can't they do that? do we stay in Japan,Saudi Arabia, Germany, South Korea etc etc. forever?
