Turks are Muslim and Greeks are Orthodox and I am an Orthodox Turk (Gagauz) I guess my comments will be pretty neutral.
First, Greeks are not Gypsies. (Gypsy's ancestors from India). Doner or Gyro it doesn't matter what you called, they are pretty similar such as ouzo or raki. But I think real Turks must look like Asian and I haven't seen any people look like Asian in Turkey and I think many of people who live in Anatolia have had Byzantian ancestors but they changed their religions.
