Highlights of Peter Tattersall's 2002 Caterham Graduates Classic race at Snetterton.
After the qualification, Peter was placed 17th on the grid for this main race. Peter made a mediocre start, but made up for it by passing several cars in the first lap.
Peter was closing on Steve Knox when, exiting the Esses, he had a minor off and was passed by both Robert Draper and James Campbell. He re-passed both on the following start/finish straight, Rob Draper moving over for him just as Peter was about to be boxed in. Peter's front wing brushed gently against Robert's rear as he squeezed by. The next corner, off-line, Peter slid and was tapped by Robert, the gentle impact causing Peter's rear wing to collapse onto and tear its tyre.
Peter's handling was now compromised, as was traction, so over the next few laps he lost five places, before the tyre shredded completely and he had no option but to retire.
