I've always been amazed by the transition from hippie music to hard rock. Not a lot of 60s bands were able to embrace the 70s as good as Humble Pie -and Steve- did.

I saw The Moments a few times in the Flamingo. First time I met him. After that I saw him in all his various groups, and cried when he died. I was also lucky enough to meet him several times, and one occasion he drank me drink for drink. He was a London blinder. I saw humble pie in during 'eat i't they were the best, they did the 'smokin shit' plus the 'blackberries stuff' ( one of the best bands ever ) That was the time to see them!!!
