  • BTW, my god what a huge crowd! I wonder what the take was for the day???

Let's assume there are 300 shrinks there. And assume that they all paid about 200 bucks a head to get in for the day, which is realistic because these seminars are expensive many charge a grand a day. Thats 60 grand for a days work.

Its easy to see what happens to clients hard earned and HMO $. Thats why shrinkology is so expensive these shrinks live the high life. Positive therapy = positive cash flow haha.

  • Hello again - I obviously haven't visited here for a while!

60 grand would be, well, grand. However, this lecture was gratis. As an Assistant Clinical Professor at Harvard Medical School we do these for free.

The profit this made went to continuing education department to support outreach to the community.

  • Hello nadsab1, sorry to be annoying. What you don't know is I was 4th speaker in a row, and every previous speaker had talked about singing. It was a risk, worked for most of them, clearly not for you. Oh well, can't win them all.

  • Win No.1 = she got them singing.

  • @nadsab1 are you blaming someone else for *your* relationship inadequacies? "shrinks" can only guide you down the 'right' path. they're not going to hold your fucking hand.

  • why don't psychologist offer a money back guarantee?

  • Wow.. You're doing a great job, guys!

  • RECOVERED? Not. When shrinks do the kind of damage they did to us, THERE IS NO RECOVERY. They destroyed, you can't fix a marriage or relationship that 2 shrinks completely smashed. The system is broken, there are no regulations which are enforced which protect clients and anyone who says otherwise is mis informed.

  • nadsab1, U have a very good point here. The mental health system in this world is full of ignorance & self aggrandizing therapists who had the time/money 2 go 2 our screwed-up universities & study psychology because they ADMIRE the system & ADMIRE those who practice in the system. It is mainstream flawed mentality!(well meaning, warmhearted people who have their own issues & have never done the real inner work of waking up, digging deep & understanding the deepest issues in life. Keep looking!

  • Hey nadsab1 U keep coming back 2 this video 2 criticize, what is your big attraction to it? There are many mental health videos out there 2 criticize, R U on a mission 2 tear down all of them without adding any helpful suggestions 4 people who are desperate 4 mental health help???? I suggest that anyone with relationship challenges take his/her therapy into her own hands & seek ALL forms of therapeutic help. Not from just one. Our lives are too valuable to be left to just one form of therapy.

  • Is this a private dispute nadsab1 or can anybody get into it? I hear your annoyance & in a way I highly agree with U ...so many flaws in this field! But there are many flaws in families, communities, schools & life itself is full of flaws ... should we criticize it all or should we keep looking for better ways to think, speak and do things to help make all things better?? Better 2 add your & cents & tell the world how U recovered from self defeating behavior than 2 simply criticize therapists.
