  • I will make a comparison video but I want to raise the Comet another 5 feet to it's permanent location first. I hope to do this within the next few weeks. Thanks...

  • I bought one new a couple of years ago. Firstly bin the comet balun, from new mine had none of the connections inside soldered, the ferrite rod needed re-glued in place. After fixing the balun it gave up about a year later. The rivets in the traps will fail after any winter and the plastic insulators that the elements mount to brake VERY easily when fitting.

If mounted in the V shape this does away for the need of a rotator as the antenna is omni directional. When it works it works quite well..

  • You oughta give up smoking Bill...

  • Ive just purchased one of these from a friend.... Lets hope it works

  • Hi: it's a pretty good antenna for limited spaces. I have mine about 6 months and since then I have worked plenty of DX. Best Regards from Brazil. Sergio, PS7CY. 73!!!!

  • I like home brewing my antennas but would still be very interested in a comparison video against the g5rv if you wouldn't mind.

Are you able to do a side by side test ?

    regards VK2MRX
