To the Cult of Scientology

This is Anonymous.

You are doubtless aware of the warning given to the "Church" of Scientology, to beware the Ides of March. Oddly reminiscent of the shift in power to the Roman Empire that followed a very similar warning some 2,000 years ago, this warning can be just as easily construed as the beginning of the end for your business model disguised as a religion, and although the handlers dispatched by your organization to our demonstrations, with their cameras to try and capture our identities, you have made it very clear as to just how you feel about it.

You are scared.

For a long time you have dealt with your critics one at a time with threats of lawsuits, exploitation of every minor legal technicality in their backgrounds, and even shadier, more disgusting tactics that result in their untimely "suicide". Yet, although these tactics have proved effective for your cult time and time again, it is only now, three months after having started our campaign, that you realize these methods are fruitless against a nameless, faceless, crowd. You are scared that the "pathetic group of computer geeks" which you laughed off last January, are now at your doorstep en masse.

You play directly into our hands, crying out religious persecution just as predicted in the video you tried to have removed. We are supportive of freedom of religion, but what you are failing to realize is that freedom of religion is for actual, free religion. Ask a Jew about the Tohrah and they will answer. Ask a Muslim about the Quran and they will answer, but ask a Scientologist about one of their texts and they will answer only after your check clears. It's fine to believe that all of humanity's problems are the fault of the alien overlord Xenu, but to charge your members several thousand dollars to learn about this, and several thousand more to get rid of the body thetans, is more than a fallacy, it is an outright scam.

To label us as enemies of free speech is one of the biggest ironies Anonymous has ever heard, especially when consideration is given to the fact that this whole campaign was started due to your suppression of Tom Cruise extolling the virtues of paying $277,000 to a cult for what amounts to little more than a self-help program. When you silence your critics with frivolous lawsuits, picketing their homes, or through even worse tactics such as your Fair Game policy or Operation Freakout, it remains to be asked, just which of our two organizations is more opposed to free speech?

In the three months we have fought, we have accomplished more than any of us could have possibly imagined. While the Ides of March passed by some countries with little recognition, in others it was met with car honks, cheers, and chants of "Tax the cult! Tax the cult!". It will only be a matter of time before your business joins the rest of the corporations of the world in paying your taxes, as you rightly should. If you can infiltrate the IRS, the very same government agency that exempted you in the first place, you can damn well pay your taxes like any other law-abiding citizen.

HI. Listen paying taxes in voluntary. Most states has never ratified the 16th admendment. The 3.4 million tax code words states it is voluntary procedure.  Those who end up in court are told by the judge the same thing if you say the IRS requires us to.
