As Carl Sagan used to say, we are ALL stardust in this vast universe of Billions of stars...Everyone we know, including a couple of gentlemen loafers in Glenwood Springs as they carve out a meager existence in this cruel, misrable life, are Starstuff...
Lets look in on Chris Myers as he kvetches on the nature of Homo Sapiens; his bitterness shows in his cynical opinion of his fellow humans and the hard, cold truth of his sad lot in life.
Chris runs into his old friend,
lifelong hobo, Hard-Luck Ray Dunaway, who has some thoughts on the catch 22 of getting ahead, and even finding a meager job.
"It's a wicked-ass game", Ray informs Chris as he describes the daily ordeal of being a homeless man in contemporary America.
Even a place like Haiti with its poverty and 'Yooricaines', seems pleasant compered to the difficulty of living in a Cave in a resort town in western Colorado.
Long gone, but not forgotten, Local legends in the Roaring Fork Valley in Colorado, Chris Myers and Ray "Speedbump" Dunaway are still with us in memory.
Are you out there in the ether, Chris?
Let us know... You are NOT a pathetic wimp...!
Filmed by Sam from a van down by the river in summer of 1989
in a vat of
Trombone Molasses
at 1:44, is that "Speed Bump" aka Hard Luck Ray? He gained the name of Speed Bump after falling down drunk on Grand Ave and getting run over.

funny thing there use to be a homeless guy who lived in a cave called cave of the clouds.. it was in the late 80s early 90s that this man claimed this cave his home. while on a caving trip to the cave we ran into this man on the water truss el he warned us of pink balloons..asked what we were doing there we told him going to see cave of the clouds.he commented that we were one of them... he dissapeared as fast as he appeared. strange fellow he was.......

Hmm,... I like this video a lot! Brought back some memories, and reminded me of someone who once said; "patience isn't a virtue, it's a damned necessity..."
