I can barely understand your comment, even though I've seen it here in various forms several times. I said nothing profane in my comment, nor is it banal or demeaning. Further, I'm not "hopelessly obsessed" with anything. My "destiny" is reality based which gives it more meaning than relying on religious fantasy and the hope of a better life~ only achieved by death. No thanks.

You've muddied the puddle, boobie! Before u ridicule religion u have to reject deism and embrace naturalism aka chance & mindless matter as the only game in town. You must also reject current cosmology, metaphysical & ontological truths. You must blindly accept that the past is infinite & that there is no need for an uncaused 1st cause since our finite, rationally intelligible, law abiding universe created itself out of nothing.

If Christianity is false it has absolutely no value, but if true, it has infinite value for mankind. What it cant be, is somewhat true.

What happens if we substitute "atheism"?

If true, ur about to be worm fodder and all your wasted hours attempting to justify ur ultimately meaningless life & ridicule religion will come to naught, since u'll die wondering (meanwhile we have joy & fulfillment with meaning, hope & destiny).
