  • as far as I know the origin of this song is not confirmed, some claim it is an american folk song while others insists that it is in fact Irish, it goes back far earlier than Dylan in both nations though. Sung by Dylan indeed but not written by him.

  • what's his real name?

  • goes by the name 'Krille' which in swedish is short for Kristian, cant really say much more.

  • any chance you might post them?

  • Yes I probably will, if you want me to, haven't the time right now though.

  • This is so haunting.

  • You're right, but for the last time. BOB DYLAN DID NOT WRITE THIS SONG. IT IS 300 years old.

  • @jhatfield89

Dude, you are lame. What the hell are you writing? Bob wrote this song? Wrong. "Find simliarities". Bob can't be compared.

  • @jhatfield89 Bob dylan didn't write this song. This is a old folk song Dylan also covered once in his youth.

  • @SeijuraHiko well since the first moonshiners in america were irish and scotch it could be both an irish andan early american song the first moonshiners date back to the late 1700's and early 1800's when the colonist attempted to tax moonshiners.

  • @omik3o

    Kristian Matsson

  • Uncle Tupelo's version of this song is pretty excellent as well, don't you think? Jeff Tweedy and Jay Farrar were a damn good duo . . . .
