The second movement from my clarinet concerto.

I really do want to know peoples opinions on my pieces, so please do leave a comment and please do rate the video.

The pictures that go with my music are by Claude Monet. I do love his paintings!

The concerto is scored for solo clarinet, horns, timpani and strings. It is dedicated to my friend Antionette on youtube. Please visit her channel: EttasFavourites.

I will post the last movement tommorow!
Thank you.

  • Daniel, this is absolutly amazing! You have a very creative mind! I love dark, reflective music. This piece is just 100% my taste. What inspired you to create such incredible tunes? THis is my favorite piece of your so far! 5*

  • I am glad you enjoyed it Reuben! Quite a few of these pictures in the video inspired me as well. I also think that parts of it are a lot like a Funeral March. Rachmaninov and Elgar have inspired my music a lot. I will post the third movement tommorow.

  • Hey, I think I prefer this movement to the first; its stronger melodically I think. The only thing I would say is that at 2:19 it seems to go "off key" a little bit in the clarinet part? Other than that..... good job!!! 5*s to you.

  • I'm glad that you enjoyed this movement! I agree with what you say about 2:19. I am planning to get rid of that part.

  • Sorry, this computer music bugs me....I just can't enjoy this properly....

Still, I get the gist of what you're saying....your style is very mature for your age....when you're older, you're gonna be a skillful composer!

  • beautiful and a bit sinister...

    fantastic....

  • c'est très beau... malhereusement la qualité de la musique n'est pas idéale... je vous conseille vraiment de trouve un orchestre pour la jouer... car elle mérite d'être jouée!

  • Very nice, wonderful!

  • this is really, really wonderful. great work. i know you will be a succesful composer and musician in the future!

since you wanted feedback--my personal view is that the "vibrato" or "tremolo" effect caused by the computer-generated music (sounds like an organ) is not totally appropriate...but that's merely my opinion

this could be used in a major feature movie!! in a suspenseful or tragic scene

  • Enjoyed the piece immensely! Loved the tune you gave to the clarinet first introduced by the strings: very Rachmaninov. Once heard it's hard to get out of the head! Really good ending too.

    Good luck with your composing.

  • Before I went to sleep the other day, I heard this tune in my head, and I thought, Who composed this tune? I've heard it before. Then I remembered that it was you who had composed it. What a great piece of music!

  • haha

hmmm.... well i do find some of it a bit sinister... but tragic is a good word to describe this piece!

  • Brilliant. Greetings from Miami.

  • Is this mature work, has great density and dramatic! Wonderful well done and caught my attention by the quality and harmony. Congratulations. I hope to connect

  • You can do both! Do not thing you must make money at composing to be a composer. There are "working" composers and "Artists" composers - some are both. But earn money in an independent way - i.e. something you can do on your own - not 8 to 6 working for someone else. I gave private music lessons and di well after college when people in college asked me "Where are you going to work?" If you want to be a composer, you must compose - but it doesn't have to be the bread & butter (income). Daniel
