Gymmy the Gymnast

This is my short animation for assessment 2 of year 2 at Thames Valley University. The assessment required us to show body language and weight.

I've built, rigged and animated my character. I have used the documents of my university of Gymmy the Gymnast.
I then built the textures in photoshop and animated in maya 2008 and finally edited this version together in adobe Premiere.

Most of the Foley, the sounds, what I have used is self recorded and overwrought with Ableton Live 8. I have used the classic music of "Bizet - Carmen Suite No.1 Argonaise" and "Grieg - Gynt mountain King"

It's my first animation with a real animated Character and i'd appreciate as much feedback as possible.

Also dead keen to see what other 2nd year animation students are producing in other universities.

Heya you have one of the few Gymmy Animations at TVU that I've seen that are actually decent. Good job! What year are you in now?

@SirAlien Awesome. I just finished 3rd. Good luck! What ever you do, do not pick PCP in the 2nd semester. you will be heavily ripped off financially as you need to make your own company and lots of company merchandise stuff and a website that you are not even taught how to make. you can do a single plus a double project (more showreel stuff) or digital portfolio which isnt too bad.
