I liked the way that marvin mispronounced EVERY ethnic restaurant name, especially the Mexican and Asian places.

He worked until he died. I mean this guy got a lifetime contract something you will never see.

I remember that Marvin got my middle school , TWICE, for violations!!!

@KojiKondo1993 That's good to know. I was hoping Marvin wasn't really a Jesus-freak spoilsport.

Gotta hand it to Marvin... he was fearless and hard at work right up to the end.
-
He still had so much energy. Definitely wasn't his time to go. I am a Houston baby, never will forget "ITS HELL TO BE POOR!!!"

@hkfreak If KTRK is doing restaurant reports, they are doing them when I'm not watching. And I typically watch KTRK news three times a day.
-
may he rest in peace. rick sanchez on CNN just mentioned marvin the other day. rick worked at KHOU cbs 11 in houston for some time. CNN was doing a story on the worst sports stadiums in the nation. god i miss marvin.

Can you upload a more recent Action 13 segment? His producer has ever since been doing the restaurant reports, I believe.
Dave Ward has been at KTRK forever...

@restlessr84
Yes, and hopefully he will go on forever.
Does Dave's face look like a potato to anyone else? I've always thought so, even as a small child.

This was the man that helped close down the Chicken Ranch if my memory serves me. At least the movie was pretty funny. They made Zindler out to be a sensationalist. He seemed to care about what he was doing though.

Yes, Marvin closed down the chicken ranch. He liked the play, but not the movie because it made him out to be too bizarre. Marvin was over the top, but not freakish.
He also didn't like the fact that the movie made the whole thing out to be about a crusade against prostitution, which was not the real reason he went after the chicken house. He wanted it shut down because of its ties to organized crime, not because he was some sort of extreme moralist crusader.
