Kenwood TS-830S Complete Station

This is my complete TS-830S station. This setup was sold in the early 1980's by Kenwood. The TS-830S is a hybrid radio which is all solid state except the PA which uses 3 tubes. The complete station components are as follows:

Hey Squanto, my station is almost complete. Thanks for the inspiration. I have the 820S and picked up the 200 antenna tuner. Its strange however mine has a chrome ring around the perimeter of the face, but the 230 you have does not. Seems like the 230 is a better match cosmetically then the 200 antenna tuner. Any ideas on that?

I also picked up the SM-220 from a friend and 200 speaker. Do you plan on doing any instructional videos on demonstrating your rig? That would be fun. Thanks.

WOW, what an awesome setup. I still love the sound of the 830 over my newer Kenwood TS-2000 and 590. The receive on the 830 is absolutely fantastic.

Thanks for posting , I envy you, hihi! I had exactly the same full set just like yours many years ago till 2003 when I sold off all my old equip. to 'modernise' my shack and since then I have bought all sorts of these hi tech rigs. Result? I am now back on my old TS-520 (luckily I kept it ) and have found my health again . No more dsp coffee machines with robocop audio,I sold them all! Kenwood hybrids were the best ever. I am now looking for these rigs again, to get back to real radio! -73!

very nice. i just got a ts-830s a few days ago.
