This was the last Green Bay football game of the 2010 regular season and was a key contest for Packer Backers for two very important reasons: a win would put us in the playoffs... and it's duh-Bears, our arch-rivals. ("After further review...")
As usual, we all arrived in Green Bay (from Wausau) about 4-hours before kick-off to set up for our pre-game tailgate which was about three blocks from the stadium. The temperature that day was well below freezing and all of us were outside for almost eight-straight hours. Sure, we're crazy. Crazy about our Packers!
Aaron Rodgers' one-yard touchdown pass to tight end Donald Lee gave the Packers their only TD and the lead in the fourth quarter, then their defense did the rest. Nick Collins' interception of Jay Cutler stopped the Bears on a late drive.
After that 10-3 win over Chicago, the Packers moved into post-season play by defeating the Eagles, Falcons and then the Bears again for the NFC Championship!
Now it's on to Super Bowl XLV!
God bless the Packers!
