:
And moving on to southwest China. Torrential rains hit yesterday, flooding the area and creating devastating mudslides. At least 20 people have died and dozens are still missing. Here's more.
STORY:
A weekend of heavy rain triggered floods and mudslides in southwest China's Yunnan and Guangxi provinces.
The Xinhua news agency is reporting that nearly a thousand houses have collapsed or have been damaged in Yunnan.
Landslides killed at least eight people in neighboring Guangxi province, to the east of Yunnan.
The flooding was triggered by torrential rain in northern and central Vietnam. This was the scene in Hanoi - the Vietnamese capital was submerged under a meter of water. The rains are being described as the worst in more than two decades. Dozens of lives have been lost and the death toll continues to rise.
Authorities are warning that more flash floods are to come before the stormy weather gives way to the dry season next month.
