A friend gave me this computer today, its for repair of course. seems like someone spilled something bad on it more then water. has no ram or hard drive. But with 300 bucks i can fix it myself. just not sure if to buy a new one or repair this one.. oh well

cool and nice unpacking your y450. i have also read in the lenovo forum website pertain the heat and several problem of it. it's an awesome machine if i would say. nice to get it and interested of it also. do some reviews of it because there are only few review out here in youtube but it depends on you if you want or not to do reviews. thanks

So far I havent had problems with this com except the BSOD with iastor.sys ever since i installed XP Pro...
but all in all, awesome performance, battery life, portability, design.
Played L4D at High settings ONLINE to my hearts content

That's the concern I had too when I bought this laptop as I've read the reviews on the heat problems.
Well there's no problem with it at all. It's on at maximum performance for throughout the night and it still doesn't overheat.
Though I am experiencing some BSOD problem once a while since I installed XP on it instead of the usual Vista though =(
