Reid Announces Introduction of Major Energy Transmission Bill at National Clean Energy Project Forum

In his remarks to todays National Clean Energy Project forum at the Newseum, Nevada Senator Harry Reid announced he will introduce this week a bill that will make it easier to carry renewable energy from often remote locations to urban centers in need of power. This bill charts a better path to a cleaner, greener and smarter national transmission policy, without sacrificing reliability or affordability. Overhauling how green energy is delivered will create good-paying jobs in areas of Nevada that most need them. Reid served as Honorary Chair of the event.
