That was amazing. RIP Phoebe. This song made me cry...beautifully done.

I have collected everything I could by Phoebe Snow, first on LP, then on Casssette, then CD's and now iPod...she taught me how to use vibrato the correct way and her music has seen me through the best and worst parts of my life. I hope more and more people will discover her artistry....I envy them their first listening of Poetry Man, Keep A Watch on the Shoreline, In My Girlish Days, Rock Away....more and more...thanks for the music Phoebe!!!

I enjoyed Phoebe Snows work for many years. It saddens me to be reminded of the loss, but gladdens me to see evidence of the beauty she expressed so astoundingly when she performed. RIP

I guess I had been caught up in the magic that she gave so freely.I always had Phoebe in my life since I was 15.and somehow a lifetime passed and I got a chance to see her in concert! It was a magical time in my life because I could not get enough of her and seen her 10 times in the N.Y. area.I wish do overs were possible and that she had recovered and that we her friends and fans would be enough for that to happen.Where ever wonderful souls go I'm sure Phoebe has an audience as big as the sky.

Phoebe Snow helped to guide my footsteps since 1978 when I saw her perform for the first time. Over the years she became my heroine. Phoebe Snow's beauty came from within and if you were not blown away by her voice, you would catch a bit of her amazing magic, tucked it away for a time when you needed it. On my life, I have called upon her magic to get me through, to get me over, to see things from a better vantage point.
I'm so taken back my her emotions during this song. You can feel her pain and only want to take some of it for her, tuck it away and deal with it yourelf. This brings tears to my eyes, not because of the song but because of her raw, uninhibited, tender and mostly human emotions. I've learned a lot by Ms Snow via her music and eyes. R.I.P., God needed another angel and Valarie needed her Mama...

Ron,
Thanks for such a beautiful note about our friend Phoebe. She was a truly special person in so many ways. She was there to sing for the mutual friend who introduced us. When you have time, take a look at the Kate Taylor clip from the same performance.
Take care,
Dan

Wow, you put the memory of Phoebe in such a beautiful, loving way. First being a fan and then a friend with Phoebe for many years allowed me to see almost every side of this magnificent woman. I know how her heart was broken and her feeling of loss when Valerie passed away. She was free to revive her career but she did not have the spirit. Valerie was her spirit. Thank you for your comments.

Thank you so much for the comments. Everyone who knew this incredible woman could tell her life revolved around Valerie. I am blessed to have spent hours on the phone just talking about nothing with her - talking about nothing with Phoebe was like reading a great book or seeing a movie that moves you in ways that are hard to explain.
