Fundación Fauna de la Amazonía is situated near the Llanganates National Park in the Pastaza Province of Ecuador. Here, alongside other conservation groups and organisations, we have initiated studies to provide information about the presence and abundance of species of fauna and flora living within the buffer zone of the National Park. Further on these studies may contribute in providing new data on the range and territories of these species.
We are looking for experienced researchers who would like to come and help us venture out into the forest and discover what lives there. Our team has only been in this area for a year, so bear in mind there is a lot to do!
As a non-profit organization, we rely heavily on donations to carry on our work. At the moment we are trying hard to get hold of better research equipment, such as camera traps, GPS receivers and books. If you are able to contribute by making a donation please do! You can make donations and learn more about our work through our Givengain donation page (www.faunadelaamazonia.givengain.org). Any other information about volunteering, donating supplies and equipment, please visit our website (www.amazoniarescue.org) and facebook page (www.facebook.com/fauna.amazonia). And we welcome any comments and suggestions!
