Learn more about the new 2010 Kicker Comp subwoofers! Sonic Electronix met with Kicker during CES 2010 to bring you a first look at these new subwoofers. They borrow a lot of their technology from higher end subwoofers, including the SoloX subwoofer. With over 24 years of subwoofer technology and engineering, the Comp subs are some of the best performing subs on the market. They are also Kicker's top selling subwoofer and one of Americas most popular!

  • @SonicElectronixTV what do you recommend 2 x 12 type or 2 x 12 cvrs

  • @ThatRandomCodPlayer That is a hard question each has its advantages. If you want more bass go with the Type R subwoofers, they have a bigger RMS rating and Xmax rating. If you want a smaller amount of bass but still great sound and precision go with the Kicker subs. At this level its all about preference one sub is not better than the other. I personally do not like Alpine subs but love their headunits.

  • are the 2010 comps louder then the older models?

  • @blastDERVbeat The 2010 Kicker Comp has mixed up a few things as showcased in the video. A redesigned front gasket gives a better visual appeal, along with a a new basket design to allow for shallower mounting applications. The new Kicker Comp is very comparable to the last model, but with a lot of added convenience and style,

  • The kicker amps compliment the comps? Does it have to be a DX amp or can it be like an IX or a ZX for them to perform good?

  • @Alex23LH The MTX Thunder 1000D would be too strong for one of these subwoofers. If you already own the MTX Thunder 1000D then you can always go with two Kicker Comps and run them at 4 ohms. I would even suggest getting one Kicker CompVR and running it at 4 ohms. A Kicker CompVR will be able to handle 400 watts RMS. All you would need to do is get the Dual 2 ohm version and run it in series to a final impedance of 4 ohms.

  • I would recommend the kicker cvts instead of these.

  • any1 know how much this full system would cost?

  • Why does Kicker higher used car salesmen to sell their stuff?

  • THOSE ARE MY SUBS!
