How To Change Mac Default Screenshot Extension

This is a tutorial on how to change the default screenshot extension type on a mac. This is super simple and easy to do, as long as you know how to open up Terminal, you can do this.

Once terminal is opened, type the following without the quotation marks:

"defaults write com.apple.screencapture type jpg"

After that is entered, hit the return key on your keyboard and then type the following, again, without the quotation marks:

"killall SystemUIServer"

Once again, hit the return key and watch your screen refresh. After this is completed, you're all set and ready to go!
