"Death panels," "euthanasia," "pulling the plug on grandma" "he's a Muslim" "the birther movement," the list goes on and on and on. "Socialized Medicine," "government takeover of health care." In rejecting the politics of divisiveness and jingoism, We the People moved this nation once again toward a More Perfect Union. We judged Mr. Obama based on the content of his character rather than the color of his skin, thus realizing a dream expressed some forty five years ago in a speech for the ages.
One hundred thousand people cheered as one in Grant Park, and the world cheered too, as We the People celebrated a day that will be remembered as one of our nation's finest hours.
