With the (new) I make reference to this wave of post-hardcore bands in contrast to the "true" post-hardcore (Fugazi and Helmet for example). I made this new ranking because I elt the old one didn't represent my tastes anymore, so go ahead and comment (be respectful biatch).

@Mustang95ization Note I"m not sayin Thursday isn't post hardcore nor silverstein, but I'm sure most other bands dnt come close to these 3 on any list.

Thursday is my favorite band of all time! They wrote my favorite song ever & I agree they're #1, but you definitely fell short when you put Thrice around the bottom of this list. Is aiden ahead of them? In my opinion they are terrible, but Thrice is surely amongst the founding fathers of post-hardcore, will never be passed by any of these other non post-hardcore bands on this list besides Thursday. Silverstein comes after definitely!

@Curtisandseth Thrice? Seriously they suck? Thrice is one of the post hardcore bands that paved the way for the entire genre of music. I don't think any fan of post hardcore would agree with you saying thrice sucks. Go check out there Artist in the ambulance,and the illusion of safety records. They influenced most of the other bands on this list. Old thrice is timeless and some of the best post hardcore that will ever exist.
