This is from the first episode of The Outer Limits called "Galaxy Being." The alien creature was composed of energy. To create the effect they had an actor in a wet suit who was covered with mineral oil. He was in a room with everything painted white. The shot was simply turned into a negative for the final result. First you see the final result then afterwards I used the negative effect to make it "positive" again.
