In to-day context, as the "kidnap ritual" always happen on a MUTUAL CONSENT, the use of kidnap in the title may no longer appropriate.
I believe english is a rich language in describing such an event without having to convey a mislead information. Using 'elopement' instead of 'kidnaping' will convey a crystal clear idea without slightest ambiguity in this very case.
