Interesting stuff! Thanks for the camera info too! The clarity of this video is really beautiful in the mostly still shots but seems to distort a little during fast movement.
I'm not real happy with my own video quality so far and keep lusting for a nicer camera. (I currently only have a Panasonic PV-DV103D, a standard little MiniDV) But . . I keep buying more modular stuff instead of a camera! ;-)
Mondo marvelous!! Happy New Year and happy to see some more twiddling dee twiddling da! On the next one I expect a bit less chat and more just audio heaven. Also, the nice thing about not having a chair is that the 12" hanging fringe on your shirt sleeves (should you choose to wear such an article of clothing a la K.E.) can dangle more effectively.... which could look dazzling.
I shoot the video with a Sony HVR-Z1U hi-def camcorder (in standard definition) and edit the results in Final Cut Pro. I always bounce a light off the ceiling of the room and I'm wearing a lavaliere microphone for one audio channel and the modular is recorded on the other channel (I mix when editing).
As for the blessed Zeroscillator, it was TOTALLY worth the wait and I barely show a lick of what it's capable of in this video.
Thank you, folks. The encouragement is much appreciated as always!
I need to mention that the video is actually NOT hi-def, but is 16x9 enhanced standard-def. I'm glad it looks so good; I may start shooting in hi-def in the future, but we'll see how things go. Keep in mind that I shoot and edit video for a living, which is why (hopefully) it looks better than average.
Oh wait -- I'm running out of room in this comment box. I'll be right back.
I always enjoy your Mondo Modular videos very much, they are second to none. Great new hardware you have acquired too. And now in HD the picture is very clear. Can I ask what equipment you use to record the video?

More to come with the ZO, I think.
