The video is in no way presented in order to demonstrate how to execute any movements included. All students seen in video were individually trained and have at least one year of Angela's JoyRide experience.

Every move is executed with perfect body alignment. A trained dancer's body form is replicated for execution, knees over feet and hips over knees. Leading with the core of the body or the "center" is always emphasized. All moves are performed safely and effectively and every move in class is personally instructed to any individual who attends my class and for each class attended there after as needed.

As for my background, I have over 25 years experience as a Professional Athlete and Teacher. As part of my teaching philosophy and background, I believe in personalized instruction, being deeply observant to individual body types and how they move through space as well as relating to individual learning styles. I believe in bringing my knowledge and experience to all students in order to create a safe and supportive environment where students can improve their emotional, mental and physical health. Even though this is a group exercise class, I teach one on one within the group atmosphere.

IMPORTANT NOTE: This is not a trademark"spinning" class. This is not a free for all. These moves have been created to stimulate more muscle groups and give the student a more creative workout that moves within the music.

I have been using indoor cycling bikes to teach and for my own personal workout for over 10 years. I was also certified in "Spinning" with MADD Dog Athletics within my first year of "spinning" because I had already been a Instructor/Teacher for over 20 years as well as a choreographer. I loved the intensity of spinning. I use music as a part of everything I teach so it seemed a great fit for me. I thank Johnny G for creating a bike where I can work out and have no impact to my ice skater knees that literally have holes in them. Just as Johnny G, I have also been able to create an effective workout for those who don't want impact but want or need high intensity. I simply approached my original workout from a dancer's approach with understanding of how one moves on a bike and what particular bike could be utilized backed up by my many years of knowledge and experience with athletics, rhythm and most importantly how bodies move and respond differently and the same. And remember, "Spinning" is a trademark brand used to create a multi-million dollar fitness empire. I am saying this because of some comments made recently that there is something "wrong" with what I am teaching. No, it's just an added addition to fitness and sport for another section of the population to use for their workout and community.

  • I wouldn't mind trying this class out. It'll be a new challenge.

While we do this, the class incorporates dance moves as well. It may sound intimidating but Angela is a great instructor who focuses on form to help you get the most out of the moves safely. I lost 10 lbs in two months taking her class regularly. You have to take the class twice. The first time will kick your butt, the second will get you hooked.

It incorporates dance moves while riding a stationary bike. This is not a monotonous spin class. It's intense and challenging to a great beat. I lost 10 lbs in two months taking her class regularly. Everyone should try it at least twice. The first time will kick your butt, the second totally gets you hooked.

  • Angela totally got me in shape prior to my wedding last year; in the midst of all that chaos her class was the ONE thing I most looked forward to during the week. It is fun, intense, fast-paced, & makes you feel an incomparable sense of achievement once you've finished. I enjoyed it so much I arranged a private class with Angela for my bridal party the day before my wedding. Angela worked us all out and we had a blast! And Angela's enthusiasm & encouragement make this better than any old workout

  • I LOVE Angela's class! I pretty much hate most cardio, but this class is really fun, and kicks my ass into shape like no other. It's not a typical spin class, there are different dance like positions that you do to the beat of the music, which really breaks it up and keeps it fresh. Angela's enthusiasm and energy is very contagious and I always leave feeling great about myself, inside and out.

  • By the way, I taught spin for those 14 years, and this class was completely innovative and different to me. Just my two cents.

  • I loved it! I've spun for 14 years but found myself burnt out and bored. Then I found Angela. Her class is NOT a spin class (don't go there expecting one), it's a completely different exercise routine--it's like dancing on a bike. It's poetry thru motion. If you're tired of the same teachers, teaching the same moves with the same old, tired music everyone else is using, try this. It's fresh. And she welcomes all levels. This class helped to re-invigorate my interest in the sport. Try it!
