Nephew Elton is being sent to a Halloween costume party as ... a carrot! Complete with old-fashioned "healthy" treats. It's up to Uncle Alton to rescue the boy from public humiliation with homemade sweets worthy of the holiday.

@WWOLFwts Yes, Turkish Delights are made with powdered sugar. I tried making them twice. They were fiendishly difficult as it's easy to overcook them, reducing them to a tarlike substance that has to be chipped out of the pan. Also, I had to keep rolling my hands in the powdered sugar to keep them from sticky. I ate one and it was so clinging it pulled off one of my caps!

@knightsintodreams Aren't Turkish Delights coated in powdered sugar and not just plain ol' sugar also? I know they've got some kind of white powder-like stuff on them, and my aunt said it was powdered sugar. She also said Elvis was abducted by aliens, so she may not be so trustworthy
