96 LT1 upgrades: 1.6 roller rockers, Trick Flow hardened pushrods, Sanderson big tube headers, airfoil, no cats, MSD 6A ignition box, MSD wires, Accell Performance Optispark, and a custom performance tune by PCMforless to make it all work right. Also has shift kit. Lowered on spindles and rear leaf springs. B&M floor shifter.
Upgraded rear end with Ford 8.8 posi. Disc brakes all around. Added rear sway bar to help with cornering. Wheels from 04 Corvette.
Soon to be added is rear mounted gas tank and battery, and big cam.

  • The shifter was pretty basic. got the center console from local junkyard for 40 bucks and the steering column is from a stick shift but you wouldnt have to get that. I just reran my trans cable from the column to the floor and welded the shifter to the floor. and thats it. You would need a lot more work though. check out the s10 forums online for more info on your swap. Thanks for your interest.

  • i'm doing a similar build a 350lt1 in a 1998 s10. did you wire that your self or did u buy the wiring kit. and witch computer did you use the one from the car or the one from the truck thanks nice truck by the way.

  • very nice job looks profesionaly done, i did a 94 super sport s10 with a 95lt1 and a 4l60e trans. fun to drive hard to go in a straight line, it was great till i poped a oil line and threw a rod threw the block, a new motor is going in now

  • how did you put your shifter in there i have a 5 speed and i want to change it to an automatic and put a hurst quarter stick in it
