  • i like it's steering wheel

  • There is enough capacity to charge all those vehicles overnight.

Electricity prices will rise if the power companies don't get off of fossil fuels.

The batteries can be recycled and that's exactly what they plan to do.

Electricity does come from magical fields if they have wind turbines and solar panels in them. I don't know how far LalaLand is from where you are, so there might be some voltage drop :))

Better than getting oil from Faroffistan!

  • It was a joke. Not a single person in Texas is likely to give up their monster truck or SUV even if they end up living in it.

  • Or everyone who buys the car can opt for a charging panel to put on their house/garage.

  • Very true.

  • Well, I hope they are like Toyota, and offer $500 for the spent batteries, then if they do the same they will recondition them and sell them at half price. I don't know if GM is planning to implement a system, but I plan on installing a timer to charge the car overnight while the power plants are idling inefficiently. I hope that with this will come some more efficient power grid systems. That will require a profit for them though.

  • FUCK TOYOTA THEY SUCK

  • it's not about affording a garage. plenty of people rent & own cars. that's not the point. i'm talking about how people shoot down ideas instead of trying to help improve their applications.

  • oh wait the batteries are 400 pounds....very environment UNfriendly.

  • Electricity companies won't be able to generate enough electricity to charge millions of cars at the same time. Electricity costs will rise and you will end up paying the same amount for your electric car than ur gasoline car....and it won't perform as well.

And if you think electric cars are good for the environment...what they gonna do with millions of 50 pound batteries when they are no good? Also...electricity doesnt come from magical fields in lala land.

    Good luck GM.
