I very much alternate between the 2. Like you I start with a dub and unless the dub is terrible or the subs are phenomenally good. you certainly covered the topic well and it was good that you guys debated it so we got to see the perspective of each side. I like how the English dubs can be more experimental. for example FUNimation dubbed Black Butler and they did it with English accents unfortunately the English accents were distracting (cos I can spot fake English accents) so I saw it subbed

Wow....Back then Brent had a beard!

I like the idea of preserving the experience that the creators had intended. Theres just so much that is stripped away in dubbing. Like really, I wouldn't want to watch Harry Potter in Japanese, or Death Note in Arabic, of even The Dark Knight in French.

I prefer dubs because it makes it's easier to follow and enjoy it. Besides all the anime I have seen have great dubs!

I perfer subs. But I want to learn Japenese so i can watch raws.

I like subbed more except if the dub is good. Naruto dubbed should be illegal

recently some games have an option for subs with jap voices Valkyria chronicles is one of them and personally i can't watch stuff dubbed after watching it subbed it makes me beat my head into the keyboard
i think anime is alot better in dubbed as you can see whats going on and dnt haveto to watch the subs the whole time and may miss things that may be funny or important

Air gear dubbed > Air gear subbed.
But I think animes are usually better when subbed.
