It's a matter of personal preference. I could care less what the lyrics of most songs mean as long as I enjoy the music. I like to think of the voice like any other instrument in the band. I mean if the words are meaningful, great, but if not, then it's the melody and sound of the instrument that counts.

So nice to hear a newer band who doesn't sing about hating people, suicide, wanting to choke someone, etc. ... you know, the usual emo and new "metal/harcore" stuff.
This is a rad song!

Im guessing that most people who think the lyrics are shitty dont understand them. 1. The lyrics have meaning to the artist that pens them and 2. I can relate to these lyrics on a very personal level, and I think that that's what the artist cares about: making an emotional connection, not "trying to sound smart." Its a song about depression and forcing oneself to slog through daily bullshit when there seems to be no more meaning. Do you think that Heartsounds really cares about ignorant haters?

@ohmygodnotthebees Shitty label? The label started by Bad Religion that launched Rancid, Offspring, Pennywise, and NOFX? You call that a shitty label?

So now people have a problem with what label a band is on? I could give a shit less about the label a band is on and, quite frankly, it's the last thing I even look for when checking out a band. I look for, oh you know, whether I find the band enjoyable and to my taste.
