A case study of Playforce's work with Colerne Primary School. Covering advice on chosing equipment, funding and working with EYs, KS1 & KS2.

Playforce are the leading UK playground manufacturers with a huge range of experience with both urban and rural school playground design. The Playforce team have the experience and skills to project manage the entire process of installing new play equipment for schools across the UK, including planning, design, installation and after-care. The team ensure they listen to and understand the needs of the students, teachers as well as parents when planning bespoke play equipment for schools.

School playground equipment should not be overlooked as it is an ideal opportunity for children to develop and learn in an unstructured and fun environment. Experiential education is a process for learning through action; learning outside the classroom allows children to test their abilities, use initiative, take risks and make mistakes without the fear of failure. The benefits of ensuring that children have access to well-designed and built playground equipment link a number of areas -- learning, health, social relationships, family and community. We recognise that play is open-ended, spontaneous and joyful; it is considered an essential expression of childhood.
