@TargetRender Surprisingly, the PS1 port of COTA retained most of the animation frames of the arcade version, but because of this the frame rate was cut in half to 30 FPS, and often dipped below that. It played in perpetual slowdown. That's because Probe (ugh) developed it, whereas Capcom would've cut down many frames of animation to keep the gameplay at the original 60 FPS.
(marplatense31) The font on the game and some other aspects really make the game feel as if it was released before it was finished. However, there's a lot of neat abilities each character was given making the game fun even if the frame rates aren't so good.
I heard that the PS1 version sucked... after watching this... I kinda doubt it, oh sure it could have been better, but it really doesn't seem that bad.
beautiful looking 2-d fighter on the Ps One. I know it didn't have as many frames of animation as the Saturn version, but this still looks REALLY good, and seems to play fine. It would be nice if this, Marvel vs. Capcom 1, or Marvel Super Heroes ended up on the Playstation store.
I loved this stage so much wonderful art in the background as well as falling endlessly when smashed through the floor. Also the music was oneof my favs
