Proof that disabling the ESP on a Smart ForTwo CDI does not, in fact, make it any better in the snow.

  • @posro1988 of course, ive had mine for over 5 years now. they are also 1 of the most reliable cars out there.

  • you got to love short wheelbase RWD cars, they are a lot of fun...if your not going to fast, then they're not so much fun, or are they

  • We have two smarts (both 451s with 84hp) - one with Hankook wheels and one is with Continental. Both are fine, but the Conti's are a still bit better. driving with them in the snow is really a fun thing... love smarts!

  • i had no problems on snow with ESP & ASR.

The wheels do not spin with ESP & ASR enabled, so it makes no sense to turn it off and it's dangerous!

  • I am running Blizzak WS60 size 145/65R15 all the way around on my 2005 Fortwo. The traction control hardly comes on at all, a welcome change from running Continental snows in the OEM sizes last year.

  • With ESP, the car is still hard to drive in snow ;(
