Linda Rios Brook describes "The Deliverer", the sequel to "Lucifer's Flood". "The Deliverer" releases on May 5, 2009 with Realms Fiction.
This sequel to Lucifers Flood finds ancient language expert Samantha Yale translating a new batch of ancient scrolls written by the same fallen angel we met in Lucifers Flood. This volume of writings covers the demons eyewitness accounts of biblical events that span from the exodus of the Hebrews from Egypt through the leadership of Joshua.
The Deliverer is a story about rebellion and consequences. It is about demonic strategy to disrupt and destroy the people of God. But ultimately, it is a story about the unrelenting love, grace, mercy, and determination of a sovereign God in pursuit of His errant children.
I like the series so far, I just wish that the misandry had been left out. I'm going through Lucifer's Flood right now and every now and then I'm pulled from the story because I get angry at the way she depicts men. God told Eve she could stay in the garden? Adam was so brainless that he should have been created with a helmet? Women are not hapless victims in the real story of our relationship to God. They are as sinful as men are.
