Ultimately I had desired a far more fancy intro, complete with an actual narration and space battles and stuff, but my current computer is not powerful enough to render such scenes. So, until the next time...

so i finally got everything to work... but then when i try to start the game, it goes to the briefing and then looks like it's loading. then it crashes and starcraft shuts down. =/ do you happen to know how to fix this? the game looks really cool!

You need to be running version 1.10. A downgrader is included with the mod package.

yeah i downgraded it but it still didn't work. i don't mean to be a bother though- i think it's just my computer. anyway, i'll try it again later. thanks! =D

It should work if you downgraded. Does the SC version say 1.10? Do you get the AO loading screen?

i'm pretty sure it does. the starcraft setup looks different also and it goes to the briefing but there is no briefing so i just click "ok" and then it turns the screen black. then it says starcraft has crashed.

Very odd. Are you trying to run the "lewl" map or something else?

This was the original intention, but because xfire encodes its videos in some weird format I could not get them to render out of vegas properly, even when I used virtualdub to encode them into Xvid. So I said fuck it and made the video without any.

The intro was very nice. BUT... I think that that it would have properly represented the mod if it had some playback of fight scenes involving the armageddon race.
