this is to compare the difference between trijicon and meprolight. also added my kimber 1911 with iron sight, a beretta PX4 storm with factory night sights, and a tru-glo sight from my remington 870.

  • Trij has Orange/Green and Yellow/Green versions.. whatcha think?

  • @Brantoc i've seen those, i think the orange would be sweet, but most gun stores in my area only sell the green/green sight. i guess it would be personal preference. thanks for watching!

  • Thanks for the info. This is very informative. Do you know if either trijicon or meprolight com for revolvers? I'm looking to replace factory front ramp on my ruger gp 100

  • @ProCovert2 yep, meprolight make tru-dot adjustable for your GP 100 check out midwayusa

  • Thanks for the very thorough video, man. I've changed out the adjustable sights (no dots) on my HK USP to the Meprolights based partly on your research here.

  • @benzodiazapines thanks bro, i thought trijicon and meprolight are the most common night sights out there. and i was surprised no one tackled this topic. do you like the meprolight sights on that HK? and also did the front sight blade fill up the rear sights on the HK adjustable sights? (as i talked about in this vid)

  • Sorry if this question has been asked before. I am thinking of getting the Meprolight sights and they say "Tru-Dot sights have a 10-year illumination warranty. " After 10 years, they pretty much will not be usable in a low light situation? Thanks for your time.

  • I just put Mep's on my Kimber Custom Royal. I am stun'd at how well they look at night. Nice Video Thanks.

  • You make a great case for meprolight, as most shooting would be probably be in daylight.

By the way many shooters prefer the gap (a race cut) allowing you to see daylight on both sides of the front site in the rear notch, as it aids your focus on the front sight (you should always make your eye's point of focus the front sight).

Great video - thanks a bunch!

  • good info thx

  • @Brantoc meprolights have those colors also. I ordered mine last night off Amazon and got the orange rear and green front.

  • I use trijicom sights on my ruger gp-100. I like them. No complains so far.

  • What about the Ameriglo sights. I need some good night sights for my Glock 30 but I can't decide. Ameriglo $69, Meprolight $79 and the Trijicon $89. The only question I have is how good are the Ameriglo sights? Anyone own them?

  • i like the trijicons myself . i do think beretta did the gap like that for a quicker lineup / more instinctive shooting , rather than target accuracy

  • Yea I've had the XS on my Glock & could not it anything & a Bereta with trijicon & couldn't hit anything! But my Glock 19 has trijicon & I love it but I'm interested in putting Meprolights on my Glock 17

but to be safe I'll stick with Trijicon!

  • where did you get your caliper from.
