Senate set to vote on healthcare bill

The Senate is inching closer to passing health care reform after Democrats cleared a major hurdle this week. On Monday, the Senate voted 60-39 along party lines to adopt changes negotiated by Majority Leader Harry Reid. A final vote on the bill is expected tomorrow. President Obama recognized a Colorado woman this week for her idea to help the U.S. government save money. And the President delivered some holiday cheer to children at a Washington Boys and Girls Club on Monday.

My freind, I am a reg. dem. I regret that I am and I will never vote by the party again. I also thought we did well when Clinton was in office. I did not like Bush. You cant blame him for every thing though. His term was dictated by 9/11. But we have never had a socialist party (Obamas) trying to destroy our country before. You are right about our nation being in trouble. The GOP managed to kill the Clinton boom, and turn a 1.5 trillion surplus into a 10 trillion debt. The victory Obama won is a win for all Americans. You can continue to ignore reality and hurt America or you can grow up, put your petty agenda to the side and be part of the UNITED States.

This country is in deep trouble and there is not one thing Mr. Obama and his criminal crew have done to help our country yet. They should be arrested for treason. We will see what happens in the near future.

Sure it makes it more "affordable", but the quality will go down with the reduction in quality of physicians. You ever heard of incentive? why would someone want to work 80 hour weeks for 1/3 the pay?

Well - I did live in Canada for a decade and I can tell you it is a superior system. Your instinct will be to tell me about your friend's cousin's neighbor's doctor's uncle said Canadians hate their health care system - but that is not true. Of the 36 countries with better health care systems than ours all of them are socialized. Can you at least admit the HMO industry may be spreading lies to protect profits?
