United Nations, New York, 16 July 2010 - The United Nations is celebrating Nelson Mandela International Day for the first time this year in honour of the former South African leader's contribution to the struggle for peace and freedom.

The Day will be observed annually on 18 July, Mr. Mandela's birthday, to commemorate the Nobel Peace Prize laureate's long-standing commitment to promoting conflict resolution, race relations, human rights, reconciliation and gender equality.

  • Where is cheney??

  • How hypocritical is the attitude of the white racists of washington and their allies of the NATO. During Clinton's administration the National African Congress, whose precedence held Nelson Mandela and whose objective was to fight against the apartheid, was on their so called 'terrorist' list. I still do not understand how they dare to promulgate the 'International Nelson Mandela Day'. And that is why...... all of the world hates the US.
