And to rebutt your statement about their not being able to give credit, how hard is it to say before you perform "Shoutout to Expression Crew for inspiring this show?" It doesn't matter that no one knows who that is. As long as you don't make it seem like this is your own original idea.
In my opinion, bboying is all about taking that inspiration you get from the crews and bboys that you admire and channeling it into something new and innovative. I mean, if you look at bboying today, that is what defines the art. It pulls from every style of dance and puts its own flavor on it. When you directly bite someone like expression crew's wizard performance, that's the equivalent of plagiarizing; you're taking credit for someone else's originality.
cmon be cool bro. it's just students emulating their favorite crews. And how would they give credit? no one in the audience knows who the heck TIP crew or Expression Crew is...
1:10 is such a bite off T.I.P's show in 2007/2008. And the segment at 5:00 is an exact copy of Expression Crew's Wizard and Marionette performances. It's cool as long as you guys at least gave credit to them for inspiring you.
