  • shoudn't allopurinol be stopped during acute gouty attacks?

  • yeah did you read the algorithm..if you read it and listen I say that your first step is INDOMETHACIN. And further it reads under that then your next step is to measure urine uric acid to see if they are over producers or underexcreters, and that allopurinol is used for prevention of the next attack. Never there was is stated, nor is it written that you use allopurinol for acute attacks..it should never be started let along stopped..acute attack --> indomethacin..once cause determined->prevent

  • how can i have those amazing charts (trees) in all the videos ??

  • the book of algorithms "USMLE ALGORITHMS" will be available in bookstores late summer time.
