I was sent to Toccoa Georgia to shoot the body of a fallen soldier coming home. I left the airport ahead of the convoy. Driving the 15 or so miles to the soldiers hometown, I saw hundreds of people lining the roads. Here is his story and this is just a portion of what I saw.
Pfc. Ryen King, 19, was one of nine soldiers in the 82nd Airborne killed in a suicide bomber attack in Iraq. He was the second fatality from Franklin County's class of 2005 in the last six months. On Nov. 13, Pfc. Daniel Allman, 20, was killed when his Humvee was hit by a roadside bomb in Baghdad.
His family wishes to have people standing along the street waving flags as Ryen's body comes home for his final rest.

  • Ronnie, Im sorry Im not the Pulitzer Prize winning writer you are. However, your verbal skills rank somewhere near caveman.

You are no better than the people who have made derogatory comments about this brave young man who fought and died for America.

I am Birchdawg and I approve this message. Your comment will be deleted and blocked.

  • Please keep you personal opinions to yourself. I put this video on here to honor a fallen soldier. If arguments continue on this page, you will be blocked.

  • Dont forget about the Brits who are there, fighting and falling but never surrender.

  • Thats right. I mean this whole heartedly GOD SAVE THE QUEEN AND BE WITH THE BRITS FIGHTING IN IRAQ AND ELSEWHERE.

  • I am not necessarily for the war in Iraq. I do however want to honor the soldiers that have died not only there but in Afganistan as well. My dad, father in law, both grandfathers, along with countless other relatives joined the military. This video is a tribute to not only this fallen soldier but the the millions of soldiers who have fought and died in the 232 year history of the USA.

  • Its good to see that you honor your fallen.

We lost a major in the royal guards(danish army)last thuesday in Afganistan, he will be buried on wednesday will all honors to.

May all our fallen boys rest in peace

  • It is sad. I work in news and have covered many soldier funerals and soldiers coming home in caskets. This one brought a tear to my eye. As I said, I was only able to show a fraction of the people who came out.

  • That's the reason we fight...for the freedom of those who remember and you may think that a "thank you" doesn't mean much but every time I hear that...it refuels my tank and reminds me why I do what I do

  • LOL at the maccas sign next to the american flag!

But thats besides the point, R.I.P honorable soldier.

  • @philgers dude this isnt about any brits this is the video for this guy please respect that

  • sorry for you

  • That's amazing. Denmark has lost 17 soldiers in Afghanistan and a couple in Iraq and while they did get an official funeral with dignitaries present there has never been a public showcase of sympathy and support like this.

  • RIP Ryen... your family misses you everyday. You died so we can all live in peace. We love you and miss you.

  • god bless American and Britian and other allies!!!!!
