What people don't understand is that just older people hate soccer in the US. Most people above 40 are either aerogent and don't give it a chance or complete dumbasses and don't understand it and hate the low scoring. But young people love it and much prefer it over baseball or hockey. Most people around 13-26 love the sport so if young people continue to like it then soccer will become huge.

i agree with tko360. im happy becks is playing at the highest level cuz he deserves it and congrats on getting 108 caps! mls did get more promotion and it has loyal fans(btw i live in the US)and good players. but becks is on a different level and he is playing awesome at milan. proving he CAN still play at a high level. he is in great form. he has had an awesome career and as a beckham fan and also a soccer fan in general im happy 4 him. :)

Absolutely, I think football is a problem for US tv companies as there is no breaks or timeouts for them to push their adverts and if the TV companies don't like the product you have no chance. Its a shame because football is a sport that all sizes can play not just the really big, or tall or simply enormous and american kids would enjoy.

i agree the Mls is Rubbish! weather it improves from rubbish to garbage to trash to Bin to litter to dirt is open to debate! but in the end we know one thing! it will always be a league that never was! and was played by people who should of chosen another profession especially with thoes wages! you get what you pay for! pay crap and you get crap!

DB raised the world profile of the MLS and the problem was it exposed the utter rubbish that it was. He must miss top class football like a drug so no wonder he wants to stay at Milan. The guy always gives his best when he plays for England and we want him match fit so a stay at Milan is good news for us. The young kids in the US seemed to like him he won a big award over there and hopefully they can watch proper football on cable. Don't think he'll miss the circus that is the MLS too much
