A time-lapse video of my work as I sculpt a low-detail model into a zombie head. No pre-planning or concept sketching. I feel that zbrush's tool set is my sketchbook. I re-work and study the model in complete 3d until I am happy with the results.
Don't get me wrong concept art on paper makes for the best start to any professional project of course. These speed sculpts are purely for fun and practice of skill.
I use a wacom pressure sensitive pen tablet. A mouse will not let you have full control over the intensity and power of the tools.

I found a deal on a small Wacom for $75.00. But expect to pay anywhere from $120.00 - $400.00 for one with extra buttons and crap.
