  • @morristeflon - Thanks for the comment. You seems to miss the meaning of the word index - it is an indicator, not the sole determinant. Neither Gilder, nor I, would espouse that all profit is altruistic. Just as when the Dow Jones Index goes up on a particular day, it does not mean that all stocks rise in price on that day.
