IWW songwriter Joe Hill was executed by firing squad in Utah on November 19, 1915. The slogan "Don't Mourn, Organize!" emerged from a letter he wrote to friends before the execution, which was based on the flimsiest evidence of a grocery store murder in town. Author William Adler came to Madison, WI to speak about his new book, The Man Who Never Died. Gregory Brumfield helped us give him a proper Solidarity Singalong welcome, sounding for all the world like a reincarnation of Paul Robeson. To see Gregory's next work, watch the announcements for Chicago Lyric Opera.
