John Adams Elementary Event

KINGSPORT Kingsport City Schools will be hosting two upcoming events related to the Fall 2009 opening of John Adams Elementary School.

A family and community information session will be held on Tuesday, March 3 at 5:30 p.m. on the John Adams Elementary School grounds. This event will be an opportunity for the public to learn more about the elementary school, meet school staff and offer suggestions for school operations/logistics. Families who have elementary students currently in Kingsport City Schools that have been rezoned to attend John Adams in the Fall of 2009 are encouraged to attend. Those families who live in the newly annexed areas in Rock Springs and those considering tuition or zoning exemptions for John Adams are also encouraged to attend. The school will not be available for tours during this session as construction is still underway.

Parents of Pre-K and Kindergarten age students should be aware of several upcoming registration events scheduled. Kindergarten registration for John Adams Elementary will be held for on Tuesday, March 10 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Rock Springs United Methodist Church at 227 Church View Drive. Parents interested in Pre-K services should attend a registration event at Kingsport Civic Auditorium on Tuesday, March 10 from 8 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. For more information on registration requirements, please visit our website at www.k12k.com.
