Kresta seems only capable of laughing-off the points of his opponent and acting indignent.
Where is this guy's actual arguments against Hitchens? It's all attitude and passive agressive smarminess as far as I can tell.

The Hitch bags another gasbag.

Something that Htich says at the beginning that really makes sense; since religion declares us unworthy and filthy from birth, then everything we do is, to some degree or another, subpar. One way I remember seeing this in action is when a theist would say that my talents are a gift from god. No, they aren't. It was the tens of thousands of hours of practice and study (btw, I'm a musician) that got me where I am. To hell with any diety taking the credit for my hard work...

Wow, the host is an idiot. "I'm sure that's not true". Translation= I'm not going to actually research it, but I'll still use this argument.

You are a detractor. Or to put it in youtube terms, a troll.
Your comment is helpful though. It shows yet another atheist who doesn't add anything of substance to the public conversation. If you scroll down the comments on these Kresta videos you find a homogenous atheist response of, "you suck, Hitchens is awesome".
I wouldn't mind if these atheists posted a critique of substance but none of them do. It's all a high school popularity drama. How ignorant and sheep like.

Your comments have no substance. You could at least leave a time stamp in the video. Youtube makes it easy to reference.
Like at 2:33 where Al shows that he is familiar with how Hitch always tries to derail conversations and turn them into one way bash sessions, avoiding details. Al insists that the atheist defend his details because that's something that atheists try to gloss over. To which Hitchens is forced to reply "Thank you for your attention to the book". 3:27

I kind of feel sorry for Kresa here cos he seems like a really nice bloke. He is just so out of his depth intellectually it's not even funny, it's like watching an adult beat up a child. Also he is trying to defend the indefensible, which is kind of why all these religeous media people come off looking like idiots when they debate the current crop of public atheists.

"I'm sure that's not true"
Well, sir it is true.
You should have done some research before the interview.
-
Then why don't you argue the point? In fact, please do. Have you red the journals of these men? Aren't you aware that it is exactly because of meticulous efforts by Catholics to keep records and preserve history, that we even have the ability to look back on the catalysts of human advancement? So yes, please make your case, but please make sure that you are appealing to actual historical documentation and not your own personally articulated atheist social narrative.
LOL "I'm sure that's not true..."
Well, look it up jackass. CH visits Russia and spends time reading and researching. I have precious little doubt that CH is right, and his dissection of the Soviet religion is insightful. The false notion theists are peddling that the USSR was secular is so ignorant of history it's pathetic. There has never been a purely atheist state in human history, and I doubt there will ever be one, although not for the same reasons theists would contend. CH 5, Kresta 0

SurelyYewJest,
Facts are a pesky little thing. Google search "A Hitch in Evidence Kresta" and you will be enlightened. The long and short of it is that ONE Russian Orthodox priest is making icons of Stalin and he was REPRIMANDED by the Russian Orthodox Church for doing so. Therefore the CH claim that Stalin has become "property of the Russian Orthodox Church" is ridiculous, misleading, and (if he is as educated in Russian events as you claim) disingenuous. Good try though.

Did you notice the supplemental links on the side of this video?
I would refrain from telling someone to look up something that they already looked up. I would also refrain from telling someone to look something up that you yourself haven't looked up. Just a suggestion, so you don't come off looking ignorant or anything.
